Legal Drafting
Jan has worked extensively with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) over the past 12 years to draft modern customs legislation for developing countries. This has included drafting new laws for a number of countries that are members of CARICOM (including Grenada, Dominica, Saint Kitts/Nevis, Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) and for several members of AFRITAC (Ghana, Liberia and Mauritius). This work required the application of the RKC, the TFA and regional trade agreements.
Recently this legal drafting work has been extended to include Asia (Lao PDR).
